The Old Guard Case Study

Introduction

The Old Guard is a live action Netflix Original feature film based on the graphic novels written by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez. It is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood that released in July 2020. Eleven were brought on to function as part of the production team and liaised with Netflix and production to create an efficient and effective placement programme for the film. Our primary focus to underwrite production budgets.

The Project

We worked closely with the Props, Set Decoration, and Costume teams. Throughout the production we handled negotiations, logistics and clearances for each of the various departments – working to ensure we met their needs and requests as efficiently and effectively as possible. After building a product placement strategy with the production we embarked on an outreach to 200+ brands.

Results

We reached out to and secured hero placements for 70 Brands, who in return provided the production with over $320,000 worth of products for use in the film.
